UWC will be hosted by Bas Rutten and Joanna Krupa, and coaches announced for the season include such talents as Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and Cesar Gracie. Angela Magana will be featured among a cast of 16 top fighters in Women’s MMA as NBC brings Mixed Martial Arts further into the mainstream.

UWC will obviously be a very competitive environment, and Angela Magana always shows up ready to bite the ass off a bear, so fans of MMA have a very exciting show to watch this winter!

The fight was outside in a barn, with sweltering heat and ~90% humidity. Despite having an asthma attack for the whole first round, Angela went on to hand Nicdali Calanoc her second career loss via decision.

My favorite aspect of this fight is seeing the determination in Angela;  she always pushes forward. Angela Magana doesn’t have quit in her vocabulary.

With this victory she became the FCF Bantamweight Champion.

The fight starts with Angela pulling her opponent away from the fence and slamming her to the center of the mat. Angela then passes to side control and quickly mounts her opponent. From the mount she rains down punches until the ref stops the fight, earning a TKO victory in her first professional MMA match.
